We want to inform our community that all licensed facilities offering unpackaged foods, including schools, will now provide written notification to consumers about the presence of major food allergens in any items served or sold. This means that our unpackaged food items and packaged food items may contain allergens. The person in charge will ensure that employees are properly trained in food safety, including food allergy awareness, as it relates to their assigned duties.
This notification is provided as a general statement indicating that foods offered by the facility could contain major allergens. For further details, please refer to the accompanying guidance document. https://codes.ohio.
Thank you for your attention to this important update aimed at enhancing food safety and consumer awareness in our community.
